Dear friends of Gilles,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is with deep sadness that we have to announce that his trip came to a sudden end, following a cardiac arrest, on April 23 at 11:37 pm in Copenhagen. He was surrounded by his hosts Erica and Jan when it happened. Despite rapid treatment, the ambulance crew and doctors were unable to save him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our heart mourns his passing, but we feel a huge gratitude to be part of the great circle of love and friendship he forged throughout his life and around the world \u2764<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gilles was cremated in Copenhagen, surrounded by his 3 brothers and his sister, and his ashes were brought back to Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A tribute ceremony was held with his friends and family on Saturday May 4 in Fribourg. We would like to thank all those who took part, in person or in spirit, with a special thanks to those who made it possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ch\u00e8res et chers ami(e)s de Gilles,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous avons l’immense tristesse de vous annoncer que son voyage a pris fin subitement, suite a un arr\u00eat cardiaque, le 23 avril \u00e0 23h37 \u00e0 Copenhague. Il \u00e9tait entour\u00e9 de ses h\u00f4tes, Erica et Jan lorsque cela s’est produit. Malgr\u00e9 une prise en charge rapide, ambulanciers et m\u00e9decins n’ont pas pu le sauver.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous avons le c\u0153ur serr\u00e9, mais aussi une \u00e9norme gratitude de faire partie de la grande toile d\u2019amour et d\u2019amiti\u00e9 qu\u2019il a tiss\u00e9e au cours de sa vie et tout autour du monde<\/em> \u2764<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gilles a \u00e9t\u00e9 incin\u00e9r\u00e9 \u00e0 Copenhague, entour\u00e9 de ses 3 fr\u00e8res et de sa soeur et ses cendres ont \u00e9t\u00e9 ramen\u00e9es en Suisse. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Une c\u00e9r\u00e9monie d’adieu a eu lieu avec ses proches et sa famille le samedi 4 mai 2024 \u00e0 Fribourg. Nous remercions toutes les personnes qui y ont particip\u00e9, en personne ou en pens\u00e9e. Un merci tout particulier \u00e0 celles et ceux qui l’ont rendue possible.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
