It's not just the town of Bosa that's colorful... As I hit the road this morning, I pass keffiyeh-wearing emirs, princesses dressed all in pink, Cleopatras with golden headdress, mossy trees, American footsball players, mice, and more awkward characters. It's 9h and the city is getting ready to celebrate its Shrove Thursday, which kicks off the carnival festivities. I walk away from this merry mess but still hear the music and excitement as I set off along the coast to Alghero.

I'd heard it was beautiful, and I can only agree ! Unfortunately, I don't get the sun all the way, but that doesn't detract from my enjoyment. On the other hand, there's a strong wind at my back and I'm straightening up as much as I can to sail !

Blessed are the people who live in Bosa and work in Alghero, or vice-versa, and who can contemplate this panorama every day from the bus, or from their car. By bike, it's a bit too long, with far too much ups and downs... I meet a German couple and their pre-teen daughter who are on an open road trip and doing school on the road, and we chat for a long time on the roadside about our choices, our freedom and the pleasure of nomadism. I've met so many inspiring and courageous people in Sardinia that it feels strange to think I'll be leaving this island in a few days' time...
